Licensing Documents to use printed pages from INSW Portal
In accordance with Circular Letter from Director General of Customs Number SE-2/BC/2010 dated 15 January 2010 regarding the use of printed pages from INSW Portal for complying with Prohibition and Restriction regulations

With regards to the full implementation of INSW Portal (mandatory) in several Customs offices and to ensure uniformity in providing services related to the use of printed pages of documents required complying with Prohibition and Restriction regulations, a number of guidelines shall apply as follows :

  1. That until now there are still Customs Officials, in charge of examination of goods under import prohibition and restriction regulations, who still request traders to submit original copy of the import license documents from relevant authorities. The documents are required in submitting import declaration as referred to in Annex 1 Roman I, Number 7.4.2.4 in Regulation of Director General of Customs number 42/BC/2008 regarding Implementation Guidelines for Release of Imported Goods for Home Use as already amended with Customs Director General Regulation number P-08/BC/2009.
  2. In this regard, in case PIB is lodged through INSW portal, the import license related to prohibition and restriction from relevant institution, can be lodged in the form of printed page from the INSW Portal and original copy of the documents are not required.
